Internet Marketing: Organic (Free) vs. Pay Per Click (PPC)

In the Internet world, there are many types of marketing techniques.

However, there are only two (2) search types:  Organic and Pay Per Click (PPC)

Organic:  These are the FREE results.
Pay Per Click (PPC):  You have to PAY for these. (You usually see these on either the TOP of the page or the RIGHT SIDE of it.

Which Internet Marketing approach is better?  It depends.

BENEFITS

Organic
  • These are FREE.  You do not have to pay for these results.
  • These results tend to be trusted by people more.  Often, people are leery of "ads."
  • You can turn to more than one (1) advertising source.
PPC
  • You can have your website seen more quickly--usually.
  • You do not have to do as much work, except setting up the Google AdWords (or similar) account
  • You have only ONE place to go to manage your advertising campaign.
So they both are good.  Like any tool in your toolbox, you need to know HOW and WHEN to use them.
